CORRECTION: 2025 List of Banished Words

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— On Thursday, Public Radio 90 gave you the wrong List of Banished Words.

We reported the 2024 list of words and phrases that people think have outlived their usefulness. On Wednesday, Lake Superior State University released the 2025 List of Banished Words. Number one was “cringe,” followed by “game changer” and “era.” Other words and phrases on the list include “sorry, not sorry,” “IYKYK,” and ‘100 percent.’

The full list can be found at www.lssu.edu.

Public Radio 90 apologizes for the mix-up, 100 percent.
