MAPS seeks feedback on infrastructure challenges and solutions

FM Studio A

MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education is looking for public input on a plan to update the district’s facilities.

An infrastructure study conducted on MAPS by the state last year identified more than $100 million of critical infrastructure and building system needs.

An eight-page survey has been mailed to the community to gather feedback on current challenges and potential solutions to address them.

To learn more about MAPS’ current challenges and/or how to take the survey, residents can attend two Community Information Sessions on Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the Marquette Senior High School Little Theatre.

Residents can complete the paper survey and mail it back or log on to the website listed on the paper survey and take it online. The survey is open until October 3, 2025.

Results will be reported at the school board meeting on October 13 and will be available on the district’s website.
