RUDYARD, MI— Rudyard Area Schools Superintendent Dr. Thomas McKee has been named the 2026 Yooper Super of the Year.
Presented by the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators, the award recognizes outstanding administrators for achievement and excellence in public school administration.
Officials say under McKee’s leadership, the district's facilities have undergone significant improvements that are reflective of his strong vision and responsible financial stewardship. They say his work has transformed not only a school, but the culture of education in his community.
McKee was nominated by several of his fellow Upper Peninsula superintendents.
