MARQUETTE, MI— The Northern Michigan University Foundation has closed its fiscal year with more than $10 million in philanthropic support for the first time ever.
The Foundation has $10.3 million, given by alumni, donors, and corporate partners. Officials say the investments will create lasting opportunities for students, strengthen academic programs, and advance the university’s mission. They say philanthropic support to the NMU Foundation fuels scholarships, academic excellence, student success initiatives, faculty support, and transformative campus projects.
It marks the first time in NMU’s history that the Foundation has surpassed $10 million in a single fiscal year.
