MARQUETTE, MI— The investiture ceremony for Northern Michigan University President Chris Olsen takes place Friday on campus.
During the ceremony, the NMU Board of Trustees will officially bestow the Chain of Command on Olsen. The chain represents the tenures of past presidents, and is worn at official events like commencement.
Investiture, which traditionally takes place within the first year of a president’s tenure, allows the new leader to share their vision for the university.
The ceremony takes place Friday at 11 a.m. in the Grand Ballrooms of the Northern Center.
