Ontonagon County results

Here’s what we have so far:

In Ontonagon County contested races Dale Rantala was elected sheriff. 

In McMillan Township Kristen Lind won as treasurer. 

In Carp Lake Township Nancy Reath secured the clerk spot. 

Voters approved .1 mills over a year to help replace the van for the Ontonagon County Veterans Association. 

Voters said yes to a renewal of 1 mill over 4 years for public transit. 

One mill over 4 years for emergency services passed. 

A renewal of .3 mills over 4 years for the Gogebic-Ontonagon Community Action Agency for senior services passed. 

McMillan Township voters approved a renewal of .5 mills over 4 years for fire protection. 

Matchwood Township voters said yes to 2 mills over 4 years for operations. 

In Interior Township a 1-mill renewal over 4 years for fire operations passed; .5 mills over 4 years for fire equipment passed; and 1 mill over 4 years for roads was approved. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
