May 6 election results

UNDATED— A few municipalities had issues on Tuesday’s consolidated election ballot.

Richmond Township residents approved 2 mills over 5 years for general operations.

A $30.9 million bond proposal to upgrade facilities and enhance safety in the Gwinn Area Community Schools district failed.

In the Lake Linden-Hubbell district, voters approved an operations millage renewal and a $6.5 million bond proposal. A heavy equipment millage renewal for the Village of Lake Linden also passed.

In Gladstone, residents rejected a $16.9 million bond to upgrade buildings and add programming. And a $4.8 million bond proposal to add a multi-purpose room to the high school also failed.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
