MARQUETTE, MI— Those who are interested in elective positions with the City of Marquette must submit nomination packets by July 21.
This election cycle, voters will select two members for the Marquette Board of Light and Power and three commissioners for the Marquette City Commission. These positions will be contested in the General Election on November 3.
Each candidate must have been a registered voter of the City of Marquette for at least one year prior to filing and may not be in default to the City.
Nominating documents, including petition forms, are available at the City Clerk’s Office at 300 West Baraga Avenue. Candidates can also download the forms at www.marquettemi.gov/candidatefilings.
