LANSING, MI— More than 1.3 million Michigan voters have already cast their ballot, only six days before the November 3rd election.
The Michigan Department of State says as of Tuesday more than 1.1 million people voted by absentee ballot and over 215,000 cast their vote at an early voting site. That’s a turnout rate of 18.8 percent of all active registered voters in Michigan.
This is the first midterm statewide general election with early in-person voting available for every Michigan voter. Early voting will continue through Sunday, November 1, for at least eight hours every day. Some communities will offer additional early voting hours on Monday, November 2.
