The 2012 installment of the Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat race has ended.
Race spokesman Mark Steffke said Tuesday the last remaining boat withdrew around midnight, bringing the annual event to a close.
He says the “Natalie J” out of Bloomfield Hills won the largest boat class based on a handicapping system.
In all, Steffke says more than 200 of the 219 boats that started the race were able to finish.
The race began Saturday just north of the blue water bridge in Port Huron.
