Final Baraga Ave. session being held

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette Downtown Development Authority is hosting a final design presentation for the Baraga Avenue project. 

The authority received a MI Place Plan grant to redo the street from Third Street to Lakeshore Boulevard and has held several meetings to gather public input to guide the process. 

Thursday a design team from the Michigan State University Urban and Regional Planning Program will hold a presentation for final design recommendations.  The community is invited to attend.

The presentation takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marquette Commons. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
