Funeral held for fallen trooper

FENTON, MI (AP)--   Officers from across the state and nation were among hundreds of people attending the funeral for a Michigan State Police trooper who was killed while on motorcycle patrol.

Services were held Tuesday at Fenton High School for Chad Wolf.  The 38-year-old Wolf died Friday, hours after he was struck by a car hauling a trailer and dragged for miles in northern Oakland County. He had been a trooper since 2008.

Wolf's family said in a statement that their "hearts also go out to the families of other recently fallen officers ... may we share this burden together."

Wolf was a youth minister at Great Lakes Baptist Church in Holly. He was married and had four children.

No charges have been filed in the crash, which remains under investigation.
