ISHPEMING, MI— An equipment transport between Gladstone and the Tilden mine is happening Thursday night only.
Contractors with the Department of Transportation need to move large dump truck components. The slow-moving haul rig will block lanes between 10 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday on M-35, M-553, and Marquette County Road 480.
Michigan State Police will be escorting the oversize load and assisting with traffic control. The rig will be pulled over periodically so traffic can pass.
MDOT encourages motorists to avoid the area during the move.
