MARQUETTE, MI— Drivers traveling between Gladstone and the Tilden Mine area next Tuesday night should expect delays.
A large mine dump truck component will be delivered to the mine, blocking traffic.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says the move is planned to start at 11 p.m. on July 16th and finish by 5 a.m. on the 17th to minimize traffic impacts. The transport is weather dependent.
The load will travel on Delta County roads to M-35, then north on M-35 to M-553. The route continues on Marquette County Road 480, then back onto M-35 to the mine. Michigan State Police will be escorting the oversize load and assisting with traffic control during the operation.
