Harley owners to rally in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI— The Great Lakes Harley Owners Group is convening in Marquette for a rally and procession this weekend.

Friday the bikers will hold a rally at the Marquette Commons between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Third Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Washington and Spring streets.

Saturday starting at 1:30 p.m., the Harley riders will hold a procession starting at the NMU Berry Events Center. The motorcycles will make their way to Fourth Street and Baraga Avenue, then to Lakeshore Boulevard and Fair Avenue, and back to the Berry parking lot.

City officials say the group will have a police escort. Minor delays may be experienced along the route, but no roads will be closed.
