Neighbors Night Out parties to include law enforcement and emergency services personnel

MARQUETTE, MI— It’s time to start planning your August National Night Out parties.

Also referred to locally as Neighbors Night Out, the events sponsored by Marquette County TRIAD will take place August 5-10. The family-friendly parties can take place any time during this time period, either in the evening or as Noon Out lunchtime events.

Neighbors Night Out is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention; and bring residents together for fellowship. Law enforcement agencies, fire departments, EMS, emergency management, and other

emergency service agencies also take an active role by visiting parties and getting to know the members of the community.

For more information on signing up to host a party, visit www.natw.org or contact the TRIAD/RSVP office at 906-315-2607.
