MARQUETTE, MI— The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market Committee has made the decision to relocate the Wednesday market due to unsafe weather conditions.
The National Weather Service is forecasting severe thunderstorms and lightning. Those conditions surpass the safety threshold for operating the market. They present serious risks, including difficulty securing tents and displays, as well as increased danger for vendors, shoppers, and staff.
A reduced market will be run inside the Marquette Commons from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. CSA pickup will still be available.
