Getting ready for Mackinac Bridge Walk 2025

ST. IGNACE, MI— It’s less than a month until the Mackinac Bridge Walk, and the Bridge Authority is providing details on how it will proceed.

The Labor Day event will once again start at both ends of the bridge. That eliminates the need for busing and offers additional options for participants.

Walkers will start at the Jamet Street ramp in Mackinaw City and, like last year, from Bridge View Park on the west side of I-75 in St. Ignace rather than at the MBA administration building. Officials say most participants who start in St. Ignace already park at Bridge View Park, so starting the walk from that side reduces the number of people crossing the interstate before the event begins.

Walkers who park on the east side of I-75 will be guided across the road before and after walking the bridge.

A video explaining Bridge Walk options is at www.MackinacBridge.org/Walk.
