NMU to host Marquette Holistic Health Fair this weekend

MARQUETTE, MI— The third Marquette Holistic Health Fair will be held at NMU on Saturday.

Organizer Michelle Nichols says the event will feature such things as spiritual services, chiropractors, functional medicine, and henna designs. She says this year’s fair will also include help for your animal companions.

“We have equine therapy in our area that works with nature-based services, so that’s a new one. And we also have a vet that does chiropractic care for animals, so it’s turning into a mind-body-spirit fair for both animals and people.”

Nichols says the fair aims to connect people and help them experience new things. Due to its popularity, another Holistic Health Fair will be held in May.

The fair takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northern Center.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
