Winter Carnival All-Nighter starts Wednesday night

Michigan Technological University

HOUGHTON, MI— Michigan Tech’s Winter Carnival kicks off with the All-Nighter on Wednesday, and this year’s theme is “Through Ice and Snow, to Space We Go.”

Student activities this week include Hungry Hungry Huskies, human dogsled racing, broomball, and human ice bowling. A drone show will take place Wednesday night on Walker Lawn, and fireworks will be set off over the Mont Ripley Ski Area on Saturday night.

Hungry Hungry Huskies will also help to support the Husky Food Access Network, or HuskyFAN, the on-campus student and community food pantry, by accepting donations of dry goods, meal bases, cooking staples, cash donations, hygiene products and cleaning supplies.

Statue winners will be announced late Thursday afternoon.

More information is at www.mtu.edu.
