UP200, Midnight Run and Jack Pine 30 winners announced

MARQUETTE, MI— There are some familiar names in the UP200 results list.

Ryan Anderson of St. Croix, Wisconsin crossed the finish line at the Ojibwa Casino east of Harvey first on Sunday. He completed the race with a total run time of 22:09:35, making him a 10-time winner of the 228-mile event. Erin Aili of Ray, Minnesota was a close second at 22:15:31.

In the Midnight Run, it was Rita Wehseler of Tofte, Minnesota who got to the Ojibwa Casino first. Her total trail time was 06:36:48. She was followed by Michael Bestgen of St. Cloud, Minnesota, at 06:40:35.

Erin Schouweiler of Irma, Wisconsin won the Jack Pine 30 with a time of 1:46:38. And Sarah Eveningred of Shelby Township, Michigan came in second, at 1:48:12.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
