NMU to host memorial service for Trenton Massey

Trenton Massey

MARQUETTE, MI— The NMU flag will be lowered and a memorial service is being held next week for Northern student Trenton Massey, who disappeared from Marquette’s Lower Harbor on February 22.

Members of campus and the community, his family, and hometown friends searched for Trenton, but he has not yet been found.

Trenton was a construction management major from downstate Corunna who loved the outdoors.

The memorial will be held Thursday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Innovation Hall at the Jacobetti Complex. At 7 p.m., Trenton’s family will hold a flower-throwing tribute to honor him at the Lower Harbor Pier. All are welcome to join.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
