CALUMET, MI— Keweenaw National Historical Park will welcome visitors during National Park Week, Saturday, August 22 through Sunday, August 30.

Events and activities will incorporate the theme of “Celebrate America’s Story,” highlighting the 250th anniversary of American independence and recognizing our shared American heritage of national parks.

Activities will include a ranger-guided program, a volunteer workday, a public history presentation, a How to Apply for Federal Jobs workshop, and a National Junior Ranger Day. And across the country on Tuesday, August 25, visitors will not have to pay to get into any national parks.

More information is at the Keweenaw National Historical Park website.
