SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— The Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge will be closed for a couple of hours this weekend to accommodate an event.
The Sault International Festival of Races will be held Saturday. The five-mile Bridge Run crosses the span as part of its course. The race begins and ends on the campus of Lake Superior State University.
The bridge will close to vehicle traffic at 7:30 a.m. and will reopen at 9:30 a.m. This is the final planned public bridge event in 2026 that will require a temporary closure.
