LSCP holding data center information session Thursday in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI— Data centers are a hot-button topic in Michigan right now, and the Lake Superior Community Partnership is offering an event to help residents learn more about them.

The LSCP is hosting a Community Information Session on Data Centers Thursday in Marquette. The session aims to provide information and context around data centers, including potential opportunities, considerations, and impacts.

LSCP Director of Economic Development Services Mary Myers says the goal of the event is not to advocate for or against data centers, but to create a space where residents can learn about the topic.

“We don’t have a stance for data centers or against them. This is just all strictly for information and facts on data centers.”

The session will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Peter White Public Library.
The event is free, but registration is required due to space limitations. Registration information is at www.marquette.org.
