ISHPEMING, MI— Officials are investigating a fire at an apartment building in Ishpeming Thursday night.
WLUC-TV reports it started around 7:30 at Vine Street Apartments. The Ishpeming Fire Department responded and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the third-floor apartment, which extended into the attic.
Firefighters were able to control the flames within half an hour.
Officials say the apartment suffered heavy fire damage, while the rest of the building suffered moderate damage from smoke and water.
No injuries are reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
