Body of Osceola Township man found in burned house

HUBBELL, MI— A Hubbell man was killed in a house fire Monday.

Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post responded to a structure fire in Osceola Township around 6:15 p.m. A search of the house led to the discovery of a deceased man. He’s identified as 60-year-old Glenn Wareham.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Troopers were assisted by the Hubbell Fire Department, Tamarack City Fire Department, Lake Linden Police Department, Calumet Township Fire Department Rapid Intervention Team, and Mercy Ambulance.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
