WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI— A brush fire ignited a log pile in Wells Township Thursday.
The Escanaba Department of Public Safety was called around 2:55 p.m. to
5152 17th Road. Officers found the fire extended from the grass into the woods and had reached a log pile on the property.
Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours to make sure the fire was fully extinguished.
The Escanaba Township Fire Department, DNR Fire and Conservation, and Rampart EMS assisted at the scene.
