Escanaba, MI – The structure fire at the Bonifas Arts Center has been attributed to a lighting strike. Following an investigation by the Escanaba Public Safety Department,
Escanaba Public Safety and other emergency services were dispatched to the scene at 10:21pm Friday night by sprinkler activations. Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly, helping to prevent frther damage to the structure.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by Delta County Central dispatch, Ford River Fire Department, Escanaba Township Fire Department, Delta County Sheriff, DTE, Escanaba Electric Department, and the staff of the Bonifas Arts Center.
