MUNISING, MI— Fire has claimed the life of an individual in Munising.
Alger County Emergency Management says dispatch received a 911 call at 5:44 p.m. Thursday for a structure fire on the 600 block of West Superior Street. Fire departments from Munising City, Munising Township, AuTrain Township, and Rock River Township responded.
The multi-structure home was fully engulfed when they arrived. Officials say one person died in the fire.
Emergency Management is asking the public to avoid the area, as it’s still an active emergency scene.
