ESCANABA, MI— No injuries were reported in an Escanaba house fire Wednesday.
Crews with the Escanaba Department of Public Safety were dispatched around 10:15 a.m. to 220 North 21st Street. They found a significant amount of fire on the main level and smoke throughout the house.
Officers confirmed no one was inside the residence, and two dogs had been removed from the home prior to their arrival.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and remained at the scene for about two hours. The house sustained fire, smoke, and water damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
