ISHPEMING, MI-- Ishpeming is shutting down City Hall one day a week beginning in January.
Effective January 3, City Hall will be closed to the public during normal business hours on Fridays, both to walk-in customers and by telephone. It will be available to the public on Fridays by appointment only.
Officials say the revised hours are an effort to improve productivity by utilizing existing resources.
The drop box at the city hall entrance can still be used for payment of utility bills on Friday.
