Public invited to join Natural Resources Committee hearing by teleconference

LANSING, MI--   State Senator Ed McBroom is inviting residents to participate by teleconference in an upcoming hearing of the Senate Natural Resources Committee. 

The Wednesday morning meeting will feature a Senate bill that would reverse a ban on baiting and feeding in the entire Lower Peninsula. It could also impact proposed DNR baiting and feeding regulations in the Upper Peninsula.

Senators will also discuss the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community’s application to regulate air and water quality on the L’Anse Reservation.

The meeting will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. EDT in Lansing. Residents can watch via remote teleconference in two locations:

  • Michigan Works! - Escanaba, 2950 College Ave., Escanaba
  • Baraga County Administration Building, Conference Room, 2 South Main St., L’Anse
