(Houghton, MI) - State Senator Ed McBroom will host a two-day economic development and land-based industries roundtable in Houghton. The roundtable begins Monday, July 25th at the Memorial Building on the Michigan Tech campus.
McBroom, who chairs the Senate Natural Resources Committee, will meet with Upper Peninsula industry, economic, education, and community leaders to discuss the challenges and needs facing local economic development and land-based industries. Participants will go over ideas and proposed solutions on how land-based industries can partner with the technology sector for added success.
Special guests will include several State Senators and Representatives, including Representatives Sara Cambensy of Marquette and Greg Markkanen of Hancock.
