Jenn Hill sworn in as newest state representative

Rep. Jenn Hill's office

LANSING, MI— Former Marquette City Commissioner Jenn Hill has been sworn into the state House of Representatives.

She’s serving her first term representing the 109th District, comprising Alger, Baraga, Marquette, and a portion of Dickinson County. Hill replaces former Representative Sara Cambensy, who was term limited out.

Back in Marquette, the City Commission unanimously chose Jermey Ottaway to fill the vacancy created by Hill’s resignation. Ottaway recently served on the Marquette Downtown Development Authority and the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
