LANSING, MI— Governor Gretchen Whitmer appointed U.P. residents to the NMU Board of Trustees and the Natural Resources Commission Thursday.
The new trustees are Brigitte LaPointe-Dunham of Baraga, the CEO of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community; Steve Lindberg of Marquette, former educator and State Representative for the 109th District; and Greg Toutant of Negaunee, CEO of Great Lakes Recovery Center.
The governor also appointed Dave Nyberg to the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. He is the Executive Director of Business Engagement and Economic Development for the NMU Foundation.
These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
