Iron Mountain, MI - The Iron Mountain overnight parking ban is in effect for the season.
City Police and Fire Department Director Ed Mattson is reminding residents the ban prohibits parking on city streets, alleys and parking lots between the hours of 2am and 7am. Mattson says officers will start enforcing the ban with the first snowfall or icy roads that requires plows or salters to come out. He advises residents to keep abreast of winter weather forecasts and to remove their vehicles from streets, alleys and city parking lots to avoid being ticketed. The ban runs thru March 31st next year.
