Hill bill continuing ORV license fees signed into law

housedems.com

LANSING, MI— A measure eliminating the sunset of ORV licensing fees in the state has been signed into law.

Sponsored by Representative Jenn Hill, the law prevents the program from terminating at the end of the year.

A license is required to ride ORVs on eligible county roads, the frozen surface of public waters, state forest roads open to ORV use, and eligible national forest roads.

Trail permits are required when operating on state-designated ORV trails and scramble areas.

Hill says the bill renews state support for off-road vehicle trails and the infrastructure necessary to enjoy them.
