ISHPEMING, MI— The City of Ishpeming has received a $300,000 Community Center Grant through the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
The money will enable the city to partner with Partridge Creek Farm to increase food and community-based programming. It will also establish a recreational gathering space, including a skate park, in the nationally registered historic district/downtown center.
City officials say the grant is part of an ongoing effort to obtain money for additional programming and related initiatives that will benefit Ishpeming residents and visitors alike.
