MARQUETTE, MI— A draft Marquette Community Master Plan is now available for residents to peruse.
Earlier this month, the City Planning Commission voted to forward the draft to the Marquette City Commission. Monday night, the Commission unanimously decided to release the document to the public for a 63-day comment period.
Mayor Sally Davis said consultants were surprised at how many people were involved in the community input portion of the master plan process a year ago. She asked residents to take a look at the current draft plan and provide comments on it.
“Please, please, community, come and see the draft final project and provide that input that we’re so looking forward to so that we can finalize this plan and move forward for the next ten years.”
A draft of the Community Master plan is on the City of Marquette website at www.marquettemi.gov.
