Marquette Township asking for input on Master Plan

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI— Marquette Charter Township officials are asking residents what changes they’d like to see made in the area.

The Township is updating its Master Plan. It aims to align short-term initiatives with long-term goals to help maintain the community’s character and ensure that development is consistent with the community’s values and needs.

Regarding land uses and developments, Township Planning and Zoning Administrator Jason McCarthy says, “Although it is important to

understand market conditions, it is equally important to make decisions based on neighborhood dynamics, character, and the community’s vision for future growth.”

Residents and property owners are invited to learn more about the Master Plan and take an online community survey. It can be found at www.marquettetownship.org.
