ISHPEMING, MI— The Ishpeming City Council has made its choice to fill the city manager post.
On Friday, the position was offered to Randy Scholz after members interviewed him a second time. Scholz is the current administrator of Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
If the council and Scholz agree on a contract, the council could vote to approve it at a special meeting on Friday.
If he accepts the position, Scholz would begin his tenure as Ishpeming City Manager in March, when his term in Wisconsin ends.
