Veridea Group to present partial plan for old MGH site

MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette City Planning Commission will present a plan for a portion of the former Marquette General Hospital property Tuesday evening.

Veridea Group wants to build a mixture of townhomes in the parking lot areas on the south side of Magnetic Street between Lee and North 4th Street. A total of 40 units with multi-car garages would be erected. The construction duration of the townhomes is expected to occur in phases over three to four years, as market demand dictates.

A public hearing on the plan will be held during the Planning Commission’s meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at Marquette City Hall.

If the commission approves Veridea Group’s plan, it will go to the Marquette City Commission for consideration.
