National Park Service kills "food-conditioned" wolf on Isle Royale

Undated - Park rangers killed a wolf this month at Isle Royale National Park.

The decision to perform the “lethal removal” was made after months of complaints about this wolf and one other.

The wolves were approaching people in the park … which happens after they get used to human food.

They were seen dragging away food storage bags and backpacks at numerous campsites.

Park rangers say this posed a growing public safety risk. In a statement, they noted the importance of heeding food storage regulations to prevent this from happening again.
