ESCANABA, MI— Escanaba’s Secretary of State office will be closed next week for HVAC upgrades to the State Office Building.
The office will be shuttered Monday, May 4 and will reopen Monday, May 11 at 9 a.m.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says her administration has doubled the number of services available online, and now most transactions can be done from computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Self-service stations provide license plate, driver’s license, and ID renewals. The nearest self-service station is located in the Meijer store in Escanaba.
Residents who need to come into an office for Secretary of State services during the closure period may schedule a visit to the closest alternative office at www.michigan.gov/sos or by calling 888-767-6424. The nearest offices are located in Iron Mountain and Menominee.
