Marinette food pantry seeing record number of visits

MARINETTE, WI— The Saint Vincent de Paul food pantry in Marinette is in need of donations.

Officials say last year, the pantry was visited around 3,600 times.

As of this month, the pantry has hit nearly 5,000 visits, with three months remaining. It puts the pantry on track to exceed 6,100 visits.

Demand has been steadily increasing throughout 2022, but the closure of another food pantry resource in Marinette, the Newcap Food Pantry, has spiked demand. And—amid rising food costs—officials are looking ahead to the holiday season.

More information about donating to the Saint Vincent de Paul pantry is here.
