MARQUETTE, MI— A reminder that Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., law enforcement and other agencies will accept expired and unused medications. Officials will dispose of the pills, capsules, and tablets safely, so they don’t end up in the hands of those who might abuse them.
Residents are asked to empty the meds from their original containers into zip-lock bags.
A list of sites accepting old prescription medication is at www.deatakeback.com.
