DCHS may have good financial news

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Dickinson County Healthcare System is rescheduling a town hall meeting because of unexpected developments with a potential partner.

The meeting was supposed to take place Thursday night at Bay College in Iron Mountain. Officials wanted public input on the hospital’s future after Bellin Health pulled out of a sale agreement.

DCHS spokesman Joe Rizzo sent out a press release Thursday afternoon saying hospital officials were apologetic about canceling the town hall, but were excited about the news of a potential new business partner.

Rizzo says no further details can be released at this time. He notes officials will reschedule the town hall and hope to have positive news about the hospital at that time.
