Bell Hospital makes Top 100 list

ISHPEMING, MI--   UPHS-Bell has been named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S. by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.

The award is based on the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX from iVantage Health Analytics. The INDEX uses 50 rural-relevant indicators across eight pillars of hospital strength—inpatient market share, outpatient market share, cost, charge, quality, outcomes, patient perspective and financial stability—to determine an overall score for each hospital.

Hospitals recognized as a Top 100 Facility scored in the top 100 among all critical access hospitals nationally.

Aspirus Iron River, Ironwood and Keweenaw also made the list.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
