Treat the whole you at Marquette's Holistic Health Fair

MARQUETTE, MI--   The 20th annual spring Holistic Health Fair is being held in Marquette this weekend.

The event is sponsored by the group Natural Connections—which aims to link the community with local wellness expertise. Board member Mary Alice Silverthorn says “holistic” means treating more than just the physical body.

“Holistic health focuses on the whole person—working with the innate intelligence of the body to heal, rather than just symptom management,” she says. “So, basically, when you get holistic health care we’re looking at all systems: emotional, physical, spiritual, etcetera.”

The fair will feature more than 40 vendors representing such areas as massage therapy, acupuncture, energy work, essential oils, chiropractic, and more.

Silverthorn says it’s an opportunity to attend presentations, experience techniques, sample products and ask questions.

The Holistic Health Fair takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third floor of Marquette’s Masonic building. For more information, go to facebook.com/ncmarquette.
